Dr. Mercy E Makpor joins the International Network for Corporate Social Responsibility (IN-CSR) as a Senior Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Consultant as well as the head, Funded Projects and Partnerships. Until recently, Dr. Makpor was working as a researcher in the
School of Economics and Management, University of Minho, Portugal where she completed her doctorate degree in Business Administration focusing on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

She has had years of experience conducting research and working with professionals from some of the biggest research teams in Canada under the Teasdale-Corti Team Grant and a host others from Europe under the European Commission. Her recent research publications are in Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility with specificity to the supply chain mapping, third party relationships, stakeholder engagements, and effective CSR integration in the Oil and Gas sector.

Speaking to the Board of Directors earlier in the week, the President of IN-CSR, Mr. Eustace Onuegbu said that he is delighted to have a highly qualified and skilled young lady join the Network’s rapidly growing team of sustainability professionals. He confirmed that with increasing workload and as the only ISO 26000 Social Responsibility accredited trainer and auditor in Nigeria, as well as the forthcoming Africa Conference themed “Advancing Sustainability Principles for National Development” the Network is positioned to assist organisations and governmental agencies with their sustainability challenges
